Night Falls on Manhattan
“In a city of nine million people is there room for one honest man?”
In 1990s New York, Sean Casey (Andy Garcia) is elected district attorney, ready to go after the corruption inside the city's police department. Then the investigation edges toward people close to him, his father Liam (Ian Holm), a veteran cop, and his own partner. Sidney Lumet keeps to the paperwork and the plain rooms where cases get built, and the film's argument is simple: loyalty to your own and loyalty to the law do not always point the same way.
