Night Games

In 1960s Sweden, Jan (Keve Hjelm) is about to be married and cannot put the childhood he left behind out of his head. The boy he was (Jörgen Lindström) comes back to him in pieces, with his mother Astrid (Naima Wifstrand) in the frame. Mai Zetterling directs it so that memory and the present share the same rooms, and the film was considered controversial enough at Venice to be screened for the jury in private.
