In 1937, burglar alarms are the thing standing between a gang and the city's safes, and David Mallory (Boris Karloff) has just invented the best one there is. Lloyd Corrigan sets the gang's kidnapping of him in motion at once, and Jim Travers (Warren Hull) and Joan Mallory (Jean Rogers) are left chasing a trail. Mallory, held by John Baron (Alan Baxter), is expected to open every lock he built.
