Night of the Twisters

Dan Hatch (Devon Sawa) is a teenage boy who doesn't make things easy for his stepfather, Jack (John Schneider), and the two of them keep a wary distance at home. Timothy Bond made this for The Family Channel in 1996, as the cable channel's first original movie, and the twisters arrive in a series, one storm after another. By the end of it, Dan and Jack are standing in the same place, looking at the same sky.
