Nightcrawler

(2014)Directed by Dan Gilroy118 min · RCrime, Drama, Thriller
“The city shines brightest at night.”

Louis Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) needs work, and he finds it at night in Los Angeles, filming car wrecks and crime scenes to sell to local television. Nina Romina (Rene Russo), a TV-news veteran, buys his footage and shows him what sells. Dan Gilroy follows Lou as he keeps pushing closer to the violence, and the line between watching and taking part wears thinner with each job.
