“Beware! These are the eyes of a hypnotist!”

Stan Grayson (Kevin McCarthy) is a clarinetist who wakes from a dream in which he kills a man in a mirrored room. He finds blood marks on his body and a key he took from the dream, and he starts to think it happened. His brother-in-law Rene Bressard (Edward G. Robinson) is a police detective, which gives Stan someone to tell. Maxwell Shane keeps him at the mirror, staring at his own reflection and the marks he cannot account for.
