“The price of admission is your life”

No one can say who runs the Rialto, a decrepit theater where down-on-their-luck strangers sit down to a screening they never bought tickets for. The Projectionist (Mickey Rourke) hosts each showing, and the film is each viewer's own deepest fear, with Samantha (Sarah Elizabeth Withers) and Helen (Elizabeth Reaser) among those in the seats. Five directors split the segments, and the rows stay mostly empty, the screen the only light.
