Nikita

“She murders. So she can live.”

A young woman is convicted of murdering a policeman during a pharmacy robbery, sentenced to life, and then declared dead on paper. Nikita (Anne Parillaud) wakes into a government program that trains her as a killer, run by Bob (Tchéky Karyo). Luc Besson follows her through the training and into the first jobs, where she meets Marco (Jean-Hugues Anglade) and tries to keep a life of her own apart from the work.
