Nim's Island

“Be the hero of your own story.”

Nim Rusoe (Abigail Breslin) wants her father back on their remote island, and she wants to understand the adventure novels she loves, written by a man she thinks is as brave as her hero. Directors Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin set her alone with her scientist father, Jack (Gerard Butler), until she writes to the author. That author is Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster), a San Franciscan too afraid of the outdoors to leave her apartment.
