Nine 1/2 Weeks

“They broke every rule.”

Elizabeth (Kim Basinger) works at an art gallery in New York, and she knows almost nothing about John (Mickey Rourke), the Wall Street broker she takes up with, only the games he sets for her. Adrian Lyne keeps their affair private and impersonal, a relationship made of rules she never asked him to explain. As she learns how little of his life she is allowed to see, each game costs her a little more of her own.
