Nine to Five

(1980)Directed by Colin Higgins110 min · PGComedy
“The power behind the throne.”

An office has three women who each answer to the same man and are quietly deciding to get even. Judy Bernly (Jane Fonda), Violet Newstead (Lily Tomlin), and Doralee Rhodes (Dolly Parton) all work under Franklin M. Hart Jr. (Dabney Coleman), a boss who lies, takes credit, and talks down to every one of them. Colin Higgins leaves Hart at his desk, still sure of himself, the chair he sits in about to turn.
