“Feudal Japan—a time of danger, intrigue and deception . . .”

A village is wiped out, and the only trace of who did it is a plot to overthrow the government that no one in the countryside can see the shape of. Jubei Kibagami (Koichi Yamadera), a masterless ninja who sells his skills to anyone with gold or a cause worth the trouble, gets pulled in alongside Kagero (Emi Shinohara). Yoshiaki Kawajiri's film leaves Jubei with a threat that could end his wandering, and possibly his life.
