“Triumphant in Victory, Bitter in Defeat. He Changed the World, But Lost a Nation.”

Washington, the early 1970s, and Richard Nixon (Anthony Hopkins) sits in the Oval Office holding the fate of the world, while the boy from a hard California childhood still lives somewhere inside him. Oliver Stone follows him back through those early years toward the Watergate scandal that will end his presidency. The picture ends on Hopkins alone in that office, the sound of the whole country pressing in on one man.
