No Mercy

“He is entering her world to track down the killer she is desperate to be free of. Murder brought them together. Passion keeps them there.”

Eddie Jillette (Richard Gere), an undercover Chicago cop, follows a lead south to New Orleans after his partner is killed, chasing a Cajun crime boss named Losado (Jeroen Krabbé). Richard Pearce puts Eddie in the city's nightlife and rain with Michel Duval (Kim Basinger), a woman tied to Losado who knows more than she tells. Eddie came to settle a score, and the film leaves him weighing what a killing owes to the law.
