At a high school in the mid-nineties, sixteen-year-old Stacy Collins (Candace Cameron Bure) is shy, and she cannot believe that Bobby Tennison (Fred Savage), the most popular athlete in school, has noticed her. His attention turns possessive, and he starts telling her who she can talk to and what she can wear. Noel Nosseck follows her through the bruises her best friend sees and the egg shells she walks on, until a call from Bobby sends her out to meet him.
