No Such Thing

“A modern day fable.”

Beatrice (Sarah Polley) is a young journalist whose fiancé has gone missing in Iceland. She follows his trail north and finds the thing that took him, a creature known as The Monster (Robert John Burke), who wants only to die. Hal Hartley sets her against a world of cold coastline and indifferent officials, and she keeps going, past every reason to turn back, because she cannot let the loss stay unanswered.
