Noah's Ark
“See and Hear the spectacle of the ages!”
In 1928, Warner Bros. sets one story in the days of Noah and the Great Flood and another among soldiers in the First World War, with the same actors playing both. Dolores Costello is Marie in the modern half and Miriam in the biblical one, and George O'Brien is Travis, then Japheth. Michael Curtiz directs a part-talkie on the Vitaphone system, mixing silent scenes and intertitles with a recorded score, sound effects and a few spoken lines.
