Noriko's Dinner Table

“The family that eats together stays together.”

In Toyokawa, a small town where the Shimabara family eats dinner together and says very little, Noriko (Kazue Fukiishi) is a teenager who feels like she is going through the motions. She runs away to Tokyo to meet Kumiko (Tsugumi), the leader of an Internet BBS called Haikyo.com, and is drawn into Kumiko's circle. Sion Sono follows her as 54 high school girls die in a mass suicide, with her family left to find out what became of her.
