“Everything is real, everybody died.”

The film is presented as a finished Japanese documentary from 2005, assembled from tapes shot by Masafumi Kobayashi (Jin Muraki), a paranormal researcher. Koji Shiraishi builds it from interviews, television clips and raw video, including an appearance by the actress Marika Matsumoto as herself. Kobayashi starts with incidents that seem to have nothing to do with one another, and keeps filming as they point toward a single ancient demon.
