(1940)Directed by King Vidor126 minAdventure, History, War, Drama
“Half Men—Half Demons … Warriors Such As The World Has Never Known … They Lived With Death and Danger For The Women Who Hungered For Their Love!”

In 1759, during the French and Indian War, Langdon Towne (Robert Young) and Hunk Marriner (Walter Brennan) sign on with Rogers' Rangers, the elite frontier force led by Major Robert Rogers (Spencer Tracy). King Vidor follows the men through the long marches before and after their raid on the Abenaki village of St. Francis. The farther they walk into hostile country, the more every man's life depends on Rogers and on the friends beside him.
