Norwegian Wood

Toru Watanabe (Kenichi Matsuyama) is still carrying his friend Kizuki's suicide when he meets Naoko (Rinko Kikuchi), Kizuki's girlfriend, in 1960s Tokyo. Tran Anh Hung, adapting Haruki Murakami's novel, follows their long walks together, and the arrival of Midori (Kiko Mizuhara), who talks easily and laughs loudly. Naoko holds Toru to the memory of the person they both lost, and Midori pulls him back toward the living.
