Nosferatu the Vampyre
“It is fear and fun. It is a scream of horror and a cry of delight. It is Nosferatu, the Vampyre.”
Jonathan Harker (Bruno Ganz), a real estate agent in 19th-century Wismar, leaves his wife Lucy (Isabelle Adjani) behind and travels to Transylvania to close a property sale with the reclusive Count Dracula (Klaus Kinski). Werner Herzog remakes the 1922 silent film and works from Stoker's novel, giving the Count a bald head, long fingers and a loneliness he cannot hide. Dracula is a creature who would give anything to stop living forever.
