Felice Lasco (Pierfrancesco Favino) steps off the plane in Naples after forty years abroad, back in the Rione Sanità to look after his dying mother, Teresa (Aurora Quattrocchi). He learns that Oreste (Tommaso Ragno), the friend he left behind as a boy, now runs the neighborhood as a feared crimeboss. Mario Martone keeps Felice at the center, a returned man walking streets that still know his name.
