Not on the Lips
Paris, October 1925, and a secret from Gilberte Valandray's past has just walked into her husband's business meeting. The American Eric Thomson, who is negotiating a deal with Georges (Pierre Arditi), turns out to be the man Gilberte married once in the States, an annulled marriage never mentioned since. Gilberte (Sabine Azéma) begs him to keep quiet, while Alain Resnais stages this drawing-room farce as an operetta, the cast breaking into song.
