Not Wanted

“UNWED MOTHER ...her story-the nation's problem!”

Sally Kelton (Sally Forrest) leaves home chasing the promise of a worldly piano player, Steve Ryan (Leo Penn), and ends up pregnant and alone. She gives up the baby, and the guilt follows her until she takes another woman's child. Elmer Clifton directs, with Ida Lupino working uncredited, and the film treats Sally as someone who was never given anyone to lean on.
