Notes on a Scandal

“One woman's mistake is another's opportunity.”

Barbara Covett (Judi Dench), a veteran history teacher at a London school, has spent years without a single real friend, and she is writing it all down in her diary. When Sheba Hart (Cate Blanchett) arrives to teach art, Barbara decides she is the one. Richard Eyre follows Barbara as she learns Sheba's secret with a 15-year-old student, Steven Connolly (Andrew Simpson), and holds it close.
