It is 1997, and advertising executive Nick Beame (Tim Robbins) has just learned his wife is sleeping with his boss. Out driving in a daze, he meets T-Paul (Martin Lawrence), a clumsy thief whose carjacking goes wrong when Nick takes off with him still inside. Steve Oedekerk's film is about two men who share nothing but a bad day and end up needing each other.
