Notre-Dame de Paris
Paris, in Victor Hugo's telling, is a city of crowded streets with a great cathedral over them, and this musical adaptation sings it back to life. The gypsy dancer Esmeralda (Hélène Ségara) draws three men at once: Quasimodo (Garou), the kind hunchback, Frollo (Daniel Lavoie), the twisted priest, and Phœbus (Patrick Fiori). Gilles Amado films the stage production for the screen, keeping its theatrical style and letting the songs carry the feeling.
