November

Liina (Rea Lest-Liik) lives in a poor Estonian village and wants one thing, for the young man she loves to love her back. The winter is hard, so her neighbors lean on magic and folk remedies just to get through it, and she goes looking for her own kind of help. Rainer Sarnet films all of it in black and white, with Liina and the snow the brightest things on screen.
