Number Two
“It's my body, it's my kitchen, my kids. It's too much, and yet, it's not enough.”
In 1975, a young working-class couple, Sandrine (Sandrine Battistella) and Pierre (Pierre Oudrey), live in a high-rise apartment block in France with her grandparents, while the wife's infidelity sets the marriage on edge. Jean-Luc Godard shoots it in his Grenoble studio and puts two monitors on screen, sometimes talking about how he found the money to make it. We watch Godard in the studio, the two screens glowing in front of him.
