Nymphomaniac: Vol. II

(2013)Directed by Lars von Trier124 minDrama, Mystery
“Forget about love.”

Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) keeps telling Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård) the story of her life, and in this second half the adult Joe reaches the years that led her to his care. Jerôme (Shia LaBeouf) returns, and L (Willem Dafoe) enters, as Young Joe (Stacy Martin) and Gainsbourg's older Joe carry the account forward. Lars von Trier frames it as one long night of confession, and the telling grows darker with each chapter.
