“The Journey Outside Starts Inside”

Louis Menkins (Jeffrey Wright) has spent 26 years in prison and has five weeks left before he walks out. A young inmate named Beecher (Theothus Carter) is caught up in gang trouble, and helping him could cost Louis the release he has waited decades for. Madeleine Rotzler filmed it inside Pendleton Correctional Facility, a working maximum security prison in Indiana.
