Oblivion

“Earth is a memory worth fighting for.”

Jack (Tom Cruise) repairs the drones that patrol a ruined Earth, one of the last of his kind stationed there while the planet's resources are carried off after decades of war with the Scavs. His days change when he pulls a stranger, Julia (Olga Kurylenko), from a downed spacecraft. Joseph Kosinski frames the wreckage and Jack's glass-walled home against the empty ground, with Jack standing small between them.
