Occident

Across one week in Bucharest, three stories brush against each other, and the people in them keep colliding without meaning to, some wanting out of Romania, some stuck staying. Cristian Mungiu follows Luci (Alexandru Papadopol) and his wife Sorina (Anca Androne), a 29-year-old couple who see the West as the only way to get ahead. Luci has plans and bad luck in about equal measure, and he is not a man who gives up easily.
