Dan (Varun Dhawan) is 21, an intern at a Delhi hotel who wants to get through the day with his friends and as little effort as possible. Shiuli (Banita Sandhu) works the same floors and is often the target of his mouthing off. Shoojit Sircar follows what happens when one sudden event ties the two together, and Dan, who never took anything seriously, starts turning up for her.
