Odd Couple

Every ten years, two ageing masters climb a mountain and fight, the King of Sabres (Sammo Hung Kam-bo) with his blade and the King of Spears (Lau Kar-Wing) with his, and every time it ends in a draw. Tired of the stalemate, each takes on a younger student, Scarface (Bryan Leung Kar-yan) and Playboy (Dean Shek Tin). Lau Kar-Wing builds the fights around the sword against the spear, and the film plays them for laughs as much as for speed.
