Bart Hughes (Peter Weller) is a mild-mannered Manhattan banker who has just finished rebuilding his brownstone, and he is proud of every board in it. Then a rat gets in, and George P. Cosmatos follows Bart as the hunt eats up his evenings, his work, and his patience with Lorrie (Jennifer Dale). The film treats a pest as an invasion of the one place a man thinks he controls, and a house he has made himself offers nowhere to hide.
