Offside

“Life is like football.”

Nobody in the neighborhood can say why the amateur league championship matters so much, only that Esnaf Spor has to win it. Suat (Erkan Can) is thirtysomething, still lives with his parents, and works at his father's store whenever he isn't in goal for the team. Serdar Akar keeps the film close to the family's rooms and the neighbors' faces, with Suat standing between the posts in his goalkeeper's kit.
