Oh, Woe Is Me
Rachel Donnadieu (Laurence Masliah) wants only to stay married to her husband, Simon (Gérard Depardieu), a filmmaker who has started acting like a stranger. The cause is not another woman. God has entered his body, and a deity is trying to learn what human desire and suffering feel like. Jean-Luc Godard loosely follows the old legend of Alcmene and Amphitryon, and Rachel keeps choosing the husband she can no longer recognize.
