Old Acquaintance

“"I know what every woman expects from love ...AND WHAT SHE ACCEPTS IF SHE IS WISE!"”

Kit Marlowe (Bette Davis) and Millie Drake (Miriam Hopkins) have known each other since they were girls, and both grew up to write books for a living. Vincent Sherman follows the two women across the years as each one's work and household keeps pulling at the other. Their quarrels over who has written what, and who has what, are really about how hard it is to leave someone you have known this long.
