“Whatever side you take, you're wrong.”

Carol (Debra Eisenstadt) is a college student who needs a better grade on her paper, and she goes to her professor's office to ask for it. John (William H. Macy), the professor in question, keeps answering his phone and talking over her. David Mamet adapted his own stage play, and Macy returns to the role he played in the original production. Everything they say to each other puts John's job, and Carol's place in the school, at risk.
