“Lots of passions in just one life”

Olga Benário (Camila Morgado), a German-born communist, is determined to give her life to the revolution, and her work carries her to Brazil beside its communist leader, Luís Carlos Prestes (Caco Ciocler). Jayme Monjardim sets her story against the Vargas dictatorship, with the police closing in on her and the Nazi regime waiting in Germany. Olga and Prestes begin as comrades on a shared mission, and the marriage that follows is what the state moves to take apart.
