Olympus Has Fallen

“When our flag falls our nation will rise.”

Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) wants his old job back, the one he lost as a Presidential guard, and he gets no chance to ask for it. The White House is captured, President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) is taken, and Banning is trapped inside the building, the only man on the ground who knows its halls. Antoine Fuqua turns that knowledge into the film's hook: the people running the response outside have to lean on a guard they once pushed out.
