Omicidio all'italiana

Nobody has been murdered in Acitrullo, and the mayor, Piero Peluria (Maccio Capatonda), intends to see that the news says otherwise. The town is emptying out and crumbling, so he stages a gruesome killing to bring in the cameras. Capatonda plays the whole thing at a dry, level pace, and the small-town people around his mayor never raise their voices.
