On Golden Pond

“When life is at its finest... when love is at its fullest...”

Norman Thayer Jr. (Henry Fonda) is a retired professor with a sharp tongue and a failing memory, spending another summer at the family's lake house on Golden Pond with his wife, Ethel (Katharine Hepburn). Their daughter Chelsea (Jane Fonda) arrives with her boyfriend's son, Billy (Doug McKeon), and old tensions between father and child settle in. Underneath the bickering is the plain question of how a family says what it feels while there is still time.
