On Swift Horses

“How much would you gamble for love?”

Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones) has a new life waiting in California with her husband Lee (Will Poulter), back from the Korean War, until his brother Julius (Jacob Elordi) turns up and she starts placing secret bets on race horses. Daniel Minahan follows her from the track to a woman who wants out of her own narrow life, while Julius drifts toward the card tables of Las Vegas. Two pairs of people each find a love they keep out of sight.
