On the Silver Globe

What happened to the crew's dream is left for the film to show, because the astronauts who leave Earth to found a new civilization already carry its end inside them. Andrzej Żuławski, adapting his grand-uncle Jerzy's lunar novels, follows them as they die one by one, while their children drift back toward a primitive native culture. Marek (Andrzej Seweryn) is left among them, and each generation that forgets Earth makes the new myths harder to turn back.
