“How often do you find the right person?”

A Dublin vacuum repairman plays his own songs on the street by night, hoping someone will notice. One day a Czech immigrant who sells flowers stops to listen and tells him she writes songs too. John Carney films Guy (Glen Hansard) and the Girl (Markéta Irglová) writing together, and each song they finish says a little more about the two of them.
