Once a Thief

“They only stop to reload.”

Joe (Chow Yun-Fat), Jim (Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing) and Cherie (Cherie Chung Cho-Hung) were orphans raised by a crime boss, and all they want is to keep stealing art together as a family. John Woo sends the three on heists in Paris and Hong Kong, until romance and a double-cross by their Godfather (Paul Chu Kong) cut across the plan. The film treats these thieves as people loyal to each other first and to the job second.
