Once Upon My Mother

Roland Perez is born in 1963, the youngest of a large family, with a club foot the doctors say will keep him from ever standing. His mother Esther (Leïla Bekhti) answers them with a promise that he will walk like the others and live a fabulous life. Ken Scott follows Esther (Leïla Bekhti) and the grown Roland (Jonathan Cohen) through the decades, where her stubborn belief becomes the thing that holds the two of them together.
